Swiss champ annoyances
on: October 28, 2010, 09:31:51 PM
My swiss champ has a few small problems with it.  First of all, the saw teeth are not aligned, the teeth are lower on one side.  also, the fish scaler and saw are slightly misaligned and both are pointing slightly to the magnifier side of the tool, which makes the saw sometimes close where the scaler would and the scaler rubs up against the layer.  also the scissors and blade are slightly misaligned towards the magnifier side and i rolled the edge of the main blade closing it once.  also i closed the awl on the keyring and it made a large ding in it.  the backspring of the awl is not very powerful and sometimes doesnt fully snap shut unless the flat head/ bottle opener is opened to 90 degrees.  its had these problems since i got it.

Could probably link that to one rod being peened incorrectly.  Send it in under warranty.
I'm back!!

I agree that it sounds like one slipped thru quality control. Send it back for repairs.
