I have a friend that is into watches and he told me years ago about a watch that runs off BODY HEAT.

Thinking he is "yanking my chain" I forgot about it, while talking to him today he mentioned it again and I decided to look it up for myself
and here it is.

I think citizen had something similar in their eco drive. It use thermal coupling to generate electricity via temp difference between two side of watch, sorta like those wood stove eco-fans.

Definitely not for the undead or for anyone in extremely hot temperatures, but quite brilliant really!

I think Japanese watches are excellent value for money and they're constantly dreaming up clever ways of powering them too  :salute:
