Not sure why the UKPK has been pulled. There is discussion on thread about the legality question where Customs have classified it a gravity knife on an occassion  ::)
It's a lot of money for what it is so I guess that never helped sales. It was never going to appeal to the average Joe in the street at £90+; even the current FRN model is a push for most  :-\
Is the UKPK getting a new look or is the FRN model now your only option?

I have an FRN UKPK which sees use every day and have been lucky enough to acquire a G-10 UKPK so that's another target achieved  :2tu:

I'd love to get an orange one but that's bottom of the list at the minute :D I'm sure they'll not be in clearance section of Heinnie's just yet lol.

Damn silly move if you ask me

The FRNs are OK but not as nice as the G10 - and yes they always have been too expensive for what they are but look how popular they are.

Although I don't like the price, they do make it just that bit harder to get hold of and for me (and I expect others) that just added to it's desire.
I'm back!!

This might just be a cold, hard business decision.  If the G10 UKPK isn't making them money you can't blame them for not making it any more.  Besides there are still quite a few slipits to pick from, the Urban if you still want to pay a fortune, the FRN UKPK, the new Kiwi, the Bug/Honeybee/Grasshopper, Byrd Wings and the proposed new Byrd slipit currently in design, so it's not like they're not catering for us any more. Though I'll admit it's a shame to see such a landmark knife disappear from the catalogue.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Sal from Spyderco said this over on BB

We're just making changes to the line. We'll run with the FRN versions, which have much variety and are much less expensive. We'll also have the Carbon and Titan versions. Then we'll watch to see what you guys want. Current thoughts are to provide some FRN models with some exotic steels.

I suppose most knife enthusiasts have one already. Let's face it if you're paying £100 for a pocket knife you're a knife enthusiast  :tu:
If you're new to the scene I'm sure there will be plenty of stock to last for a while. Heinnie still have the KF4 Juice  :D

Now you can save it for the Carbon Fibre and Titanium version :D

£145

£190  :o :ahhh
