Day 31 Bonus

After a challenge is over, I like to thoroughly clean and lubricate a knife/tool that I plan on returning to my stored collection.  My Bond cleaned up nicely and looks brand new again.  It is still stiff like a new tool, but not nearly as stiff as it was when I first started using it this month.

Thank you all who participated in this challenge.  While I have been a lot quieter in the last two challenges than I normally am, I do read and enjoy every post in the evening while I am relaxing on my sofa.  It's just all due to the changes in my daily routine since October, and with this new return to work executive order, it's just going to get worse.  :-[  But I'm not complaining - I'm healthy and gainfully employed  :tu:

Thoughts after the challenge. This is late because I was too busy during the Lunar new year.  :drink:

My main MT carry is a BO Surge. But the PST and Bond are more compact carry. I always like replaceable cutter blade and bit exchanger more than non replaceable counter parts for the fear of them wearing down. But carrying the Bond has changed my mind. The 3d Philips is better than the 2d one and if I anticipate that I will need a screw driver, I can carry the Toughbuilt 5 in 1 with the regular 1/4 inch bit sets. It will that a long time till the 3d Philips of the Bond to wear down with occasional uses. During the challenge there was once I carried a Knipex Cobra 125 and the Bond, because I think I would need them, and while Bond isn't as good a plier as the Cobra, I needed both to loosen/tighten the hex bolts and nuts at both ends. Of course a wrench or 2 wrenches will work better, this combination is more versatile. The stainless steel blade also do an Ok job at peeling apple skins for me when I am not at home.

I think I will continue to carry the Bond. I am itching to get the bond bit adaptor as well.
