some lovely pics, but absolutely no help in making up my mind what colour to get for my new CT-34... the glow scales look spiffy, as does solid blue, and black...  :ahhh

Surely that can be remedied with the right file?

In theory yes.....  However .....  These are nylon based so more difficult to modify than their cellidor counterparts.  Also plus scales are a fraction thicker to accommodate the pen meaning if you modify non-plus scales there is a minuscule amount of material left to cover the pen slot  :ahhh

Tom managed to create a batch a couple of years back but I haven't seen anyone else produce any since then.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

i must say i think that the other colours are nice but red is just right for me and from a uk legal edc point of view if you need to use ur knife in public i think people who look will proberly reconise the red scales which could put them a little more at ease with knowing its a swiss army knife rather than any other colours and them not being familier and calling the police because there is a mad man cutting up a poor innocent apple on a park bench.i just think that victorinox is the most widly known knife and is accepted and legal in most places for its hard to put it but "friendly" uses compared to say a single blade knife like a spyderco even if it is uk legal its alot more inapropriate to carry for its styling than a gentlmans knife as the victorinox is more known.

It's a fair point Craig and I don't disagree with you about the 'brand recognition' of the red scales.  I still enjoy all my SAKs in their rainbow of colours, but there is no doubt that 99.9% of the world think that they only come in red.

Yea, Red is pretty universally recognized as a SAK.  When I pull out my Champion at work, everyone knows it's a SAK, they don't even question it unless they are attracted to it and want one.  When I pull out my skeletool I get some looks, even more so than my Cara Cara!  People are wierd...
