"Specialty" Electrician
on: November 16, 2010, 12:54:35 AM
Here's a little gem, and probably the rarest of all my SAKs. This one doesn't even have an official name, but I've seen it referred to as a Specialty Electrician or Special Electrician.  I prefer Electinker.

This one is on the 84mm platform and all it has is a main blade, electrician's blade w/ wire scrapper, and on the backside a Phillips screwdriver. Naturally the toothpick and tweezers are present

The minimal tools make this one just one layer thick, so it's very slim.

Cool, huh?!

I bought one of those new from Radio Shack around 1995...and I've always thought of them as the "Radio Shack Electrician". I vaguely recall that they were an exclusive model to them...at least in the U.S. I do remember that they were not a cataloged model at the time.

I side with Spork  :tu:

I got one from Radio Shack years ago, nice little combo.

I do believe that it is/was made for them.

Great pics, Neil!  I've never seen the actual packaging for one.  Thanks for posting those.

That's a pretty slick little SAK. Pretty well thought out for the needs of the average Radio Shack patron in the 90's.

These were one of my favorites when I first started to collect 84mm Vic's. Only the Apprentice is similar in tool selection and width.

That's a really cool SAK.  Not seen one before.

I like the fact its a single layer knife.  Nice and compact.

Good little SAKs these.  Mine is distinctly in "used" condition but still a working tool.

No Vic 84mm SAK collection would be complete without one of these.

Not sure how rare they are, but I've seen these sell on eBay for $10 in mint shape with a box.  I believe it was listed as an Electrician Apprentice.

I like: Craftsman Professional Market Golfer.  :o Covers all the bases  ::)  :D

Definitely a cool little knife, I really like the 84mm size.
