When I first read that title I was thinking Citizen Eco Drive then I started reading and then I said HUH.

The first thing that came to my mind was the Citizen Eco drive as well.

Hummm..there are things to like about the watch; I like the idea of a quality wooden watch, the styling is interesting and the 'dial' funky.  BUT I'd much rather have read that it was made from recycled materials, not recyclable materials.  It's all fine and well saying I could recycle my watch, but who the heck is going to recycle a $800 watch?  I suspect I'd be getting it fixed, not throwing it in the recycling bin. ::)

I would rather spend 800 bucks on a better watch then something that is supposed to make you feel good because you are "saving the planet", which is a sort of misnomer as they never seem to account manufacturing cost in both energy, materials, etc.

Call me jaded, but this sort of thing reminds me of those clear cleaning liquids of the late 90s that were supposed to be more environmentally safe to use, but really weren’t, as they could charge you more for leaving the colouring out of the product.
