They go against the if you drop it you can't find it mentality, but I love how camouflage MTs look.

I got my ALX a few days ago, but it had to go the its birth place for a bit of TLC. I should have it back in a few days.  :mail: Not sure if they will fix it or replace it, but either way I can't wait to get it back.

I've bought a used 25th Alx from eby and found the plier binds very tight in clamping close.i think a case of bent plier.
Special instruction as its 25th anniversary...and LM returned it fixed as new...blades sharpened..tools shiny..etc

No worry Capt.. :tu:

Are you asking us to convince you?  None of us really need convincing as much as encouragement ;) >:D  The desire is already there, and in my experience for the most part, that means you will eventually get what you want, whether you need it or not >:D  Heck, I already had a Wave and Charge AL when I decided to buy the Charge TTi, and they are all essentially the same thing, with only minor differences.  I could have easily found a "better" use for the $100+ it cost me to get the TTi, but I wanted it and got it.  That's part of the reason I can't get as many SAKs as I would like.  I spent a lot of money on plier based MTs before getting bitten by the SAK bug, so I'm no longer in the position to afford to get all I want.  Fortunately, SAKs are mostly cheaper in comparison (unless you want a Yeoman like I do), so it can be easier to pick one up on occasion as opposed to spending a good chunk of money on a MT.

No prob ;)  No complaints from me, although I do prefer the AL (the version I own) as I don't care to have two large bit drivers.  Others do though, and that's fine.  The Charges are all awesome in their own ways.  Enjoy your new Leatherman

wow that's pretty clever. I'll have to check those out.

I did notice on my blade that there is a little indent on the factory grind. Is anyone else's ALX like that? my date stamp is 0912

I must try those out :)
In that thread, they talk about other possible tools in the same line. I wonder if anyone has thought of making a lil mini pry bar ? Or do folks think that might put too much sideways stress on the bit holder ?

I've read reviews mentioning blade grind/edge issues, and I had the same issue myself.  The warantee will take care of that.
