Too bad Leatherman did not get creative enough on their camouflaged Charge/Wave. Make pictures in the colors, like a Tiger's Eye staring out, an animal form, etc. so when looking at a distance another picture would be seen - instead of randomized colorations.  :D  That would look slick.

A got this Charge AL BO second hand.
I´m very pleased with it.
It´s my second charge and my first black oxid tool.
But it seems like the bo doesn´t stick to well on the charge plate on the handle where it is partially gone.

Greetings to all,

I am the proud owner of a new Charge TTi.  I just joined the forum to be amongst like minded individuals who appreciate my enthusiasm for a quality LM tool.
I purchased it online through B&H Photo for $99 and $6+ for shipping.  It is the 2013 model with the new scales, and IMO they look sweet!  I won't bother with pics as I believe everyone here already knows what this tool looks like.
I have owned a PST and a Blast and both were well used.  Fortunately for me, I don't live far from LL Bean and have taken them in to be swapped several time over the years.  A good leatherman tool is esential to my daily work as a field technician, and I did not want to send them to LM and thus be without a tool for a couple of weeks.  When the PST was obviously not keeping up with my needs, I purchased the Blast and was quite pleased with it for several years.  Now the blast is discontinued and I can no longer swap it at LL Bean, I decided an upgrade was in order.  Thus my purchase of the TTi.
I will follow up soon with my initial assesment of the TTi for anyone interested in my experience.

Family Reunion shot :) the stock TTi recently spent 4 months lost in the bush - found and returned to me by a fellow Geocacher. The rainbow one is a ReCharge TTXi built by Breezy to replace the lost one. Now they're best friends ;)

Nice Charges FB :tu:  I have the AL and TTi, and I actually like the AL's looks a little better, but I don't carry it as much as the TTi for some reason.  I think the TTi is just slightly slimmer and it has the cutting hook as an extra use, not that most things I would use that for couldn't be handled by one of the knife blades or scissors.  Right now the AL is in my car, but maybe I'll consider switching it out with the TTi occasionally.

My Ti is older so it opens and closes easier, but there's something about the AL texture that I like.

My AL opens/closes more smoothly than my TTi, and I also prefer the AL's pliers as I don't care about the cap crimper on the TTi's.  Basically, they're both awesome, so I should just alternate between them when I want to carry a Charge ;)  Oh and congrats on becoming a Jr. Member...it's only the beginning

I love these tools and I keep trying to justify them being that I don't have much need for them.
Ultimately, I've come to the conclusion that I want them because I like them.  :gimme:

Similar for me as well.  I don't use any of my MTs/SAKs heavily in comparison to some, and they are not really abused at all.  However, I enjoy them and love having some on me because they can and do come in handy at times, and that's when carrying them is worthwhile and justified :tu:
