Nothing to do during last Sunday rainy weekend so I decided to do a small cosmetic touch-up to my plain black ALX and to the nylon sheath

Picked up a 2009 Charge this week, no sure I understand the models, could it be a TTI?

If it is a 2009 then it is a Tti :tu:

Hi guys. I'm just wondering how come I can't find any date code on my TTi? Did Leatherman stopped stamping codes recently?

Not that I know of

Check the inside of the handles on the sides instead of on the bottom

Probably.  If it has a cap crimper notch in the pliers and one small and one large bit driver then IIRC it is an original Charge TTi (the Mk 2.0 TTi had different scales on the handles)

Looks clean and in very nice condition, more like a $52 multi-tool. Maybe the pawn shop owner made a mistake. Lucky U!  ;) :tu:

Didn't think I was going to get another LM... but spotted a secondhand Charge today, and picked it up.

06-14 date stamp.  Outside tools open nicely.  Inside tools too.  Pliers are a bit stiff to open, but may change with wear and use.  No wobble in pliers head.  When closed there is no movement.  Solid!  All tools felt a bit 'gritty' when opening, so I put on some 3-in1 oil and will see if that helps.

Also came with a leather case, bit kit, and the clip and large lanyard attachments.

It is about 10g heavier than my modded Wave, and feels different in my hand when compared to the stainless Wave.

Now that Bass Pro is taking over Cabela's I was wondering if the Charge TTI Camo with woodland pattern and Cabela's ZONZ printed on the handle will be a one and only collector's item

I agree.

I had a dream last night that the LM reps came by and gave each of us all one of these red AL's as an advertising ploy. It was quite vivid, and as I examined this Charge, I actually liked it a lot.

That said, I will not pay $150 for one, or even half that - and - I don't want the P.o.s. Lenser headlamp either.

This is not my first Charge. Got this a few days back off Ebay. Think it is a black military version of the Charge XTI. It's really a pity that the black paint was badly beat up and the previous owner tried to do some diy engravings or marking...

I had stripped off the paint on the black paint on the scales and did some cleaning up. Pretty sweet looking with the combo colours.  :D
