Thanks fellas
Owned a wave before my charge, left it in my car ashtray and someone decided they needed it more than I did
Took my wave, complete with ashtray, can't imagine why they would want a Rav4 ashtray,  may the tool God strike them down and the wave pliers cause many blood blisters!   >:D

Probably someone wanted to replace his broken Toyota Rav4 ashtray and decided to take both at the same time :D

Might as well try to get my activity up a little again by posting here.
Already had an AL but sourced a TTI second hand as well.

Recycled pic though. Too weak to walk around gathering tools and stuff for pics.

Not to shabby yourself, Poncho.

However, I thought Americans never bought the AL because the price difference there is low enough to get a TTI instead?

Thanks Nick :hatsoff:

When you buy second hand the price gap tends to be more  I will get a Tti one day :dd: but not until I find a deal on it :D

What does a brand new TTI go for over there?

On LM.com the Tti is $170.00 plus tax and the AL is $140 plus tax :o Both new are way out of my price range  With 10% tax here in my State and not counting shipping that puts the Charge Tti at $187 and the AL at $154 :ahhh

Seems like those are about the same price as over here then...
From an authorised webshop that is. In store prices go higher.

Strange that cheaper models are so much more expensive here, while expensive models don't vary that much...

Yes, I can't understand how the cheaper models can be so expensive there and go for almost the same as some of the premium models

Great combo!  Makes me miss my old TTi. I don't like the newer handle scales as much.

I like the Red Cross Charge AL only because of the scales design and color, now that they are selling at a lower price and with free shipping, I probably get one just to add it to my collection. Anybody interested in the SEO headlamp and bit kit  :D

Please note that the red paint is simply... paint. It will chip/ wear eventually. Because of the paint, Leatherman had to use smooth scales for maximum adhesion. The red really pops with the SS blades. The only thing I wish mine better is with the file rubbing the inside of the scale, with a bit with red paint stuck to the tip. But the file rubbing is a common minor issue with all Charge models. Buy one, you won't regret it. Mine has 0417 date.

Also, the sheath is model 945016, which is now not available on Leatherman site (https://www.knifecenter.com/item/LM945016/leatherman-945016-charge-premium-sheath). You get two bit cards, which come in a small ziplock bag, together with the Charge in the same box. Pocket clip and lanyard ring are included.

Yes, you're right about the paint, same as the Orange Wave and Skeletool RX, that's why I want it as a collector's item, not to be use ;)...I probably do some changes to it and switch the blades, small tools and pivot screws with the ones on my black oxide Charge and add a black pocket clip.
