Bought a "Charge XTi" on eBay, but knew it wasn't one. It was just a 2011 TTi. Price was great though and I really like the older scales.  :)

Added to the Charge squad.
Left to right: Charge Ti, Charge TTi(older), Charge TTi(newer), Charge TTi Camo, Charge+, and Charge AL RC.

The trusty TTi in rotation with Blast pliers.

Nice addition to your comprehensive holdings there! Thanks for sharing.
The earlier pic, a few postings ago, was a little older than my current TTi setup. The sheath and accessories are the same. The changes were for two reasons. Firstly I modded it (early ’15) and fitted a set of Rebar pliers.
The TTi in question was my oldest and most thoroughly and mercilessly thrashed Charge and it developed a chassis crack.  See pic …

Leatherman dealt with my warranty claim on the chassis frame failure very well. Now my mostly daily drive Charge TTi has a modern body with latest Ti scales and a Rebar plier head. On that and your very clean looking Blast pliers, did you have to grind or smooth out parts of it to avoid clashing when the tool is closed?
Here’s a pic of my earliest Rebar to TTi plier head frankenstein transplant.

I was certainly not the first and it's relatively straight forward but does need some grinding of the plier head as there’s minor fouling with the folded scissors etc.
Lol, this plier head is old hat now with Leatherman's latest TTi incarnation.

Thank you, Heywood Floyd!

Awesome looking custom Charge there!  :like:

Fortunately the Blast pliers head is the same one found in the Charge Ti, so a direct drop in. I found the TTi cap crimper to be a negative when using the Charge pliers. I carry a Gerber Pinchy for hardcore pliers use(blunt nose), so I wanted the no-CC fine-teeth pliers in the TTi. My user Blast wasn't getting any use, so it was switcharoo time. The CC TTi pliers fot nicely into the Blast too. :)

 Good question.
For work; the Charge.
For play; the P4.

But, as far as looks go, the new has worn off of the P4 a bit and I am now thinking the TTi is a more aesthetically pleasing design. The scales have more grip on the TTi as well. Polished tools slip out of my hands when I sweat.

I hope that is the case as well. . It really is an awesome MT. It just isn't very practical for work environments like the Charge is. :)

So this is where the TTi plier head swapped to with the Rebar. The Rebar is no TTi but it’s a boon in a pinch.
I also don’t particularly like or frequently use the CCs. Of late, the CC sometimes gets a run “crimping” molten paracord.

Thank you, Heywood Floyd!

That is a good looking Rebar with the old style pliers.  :o

It is cool the CC works for the paracord as well. :like:
