Well many war films have little or nothing to do with the war!  I don't recall The Duke storming Normandy and single handedly sending the Nazis running before shooting all 2,000 of them dead with a single clip....

Def
That's true but he did say that ''saving private ryan'' was very accurate, it also happens to be one of my favorite films, (at least the bit were Matt Damon isnt in it ;D)

I dunno- I don't think he's that bad.  Check out his cameo in Euro Trip:

Some bad language in this one, so be warned!

Although I loathe to call this wonderful film a "horror film," it does get lumped into that category. I refer to the original, director's cut of "The Wicker Man." Any movie with the incomparable Christopher Lee AND Edward Woodward has to be worthy of a look. If any of you check it out, try to avoid the shortened version meant for American audiences. It is the one most commonly found. The music alone is worth the cost. Lee's performance is the icing on the cake. It's supposedly his favorite film in which he's starred.

Oh, by the way, Britt Ekland's nude in it as well (along with her bottom double).  :o

Just had to mention this excellent film.

Regards, Bill.

Does "Shaun of the Dead" count?

I'm not at all a horror movie fan.  I like intentionally stupid monster movies... The Leprechaun series is one of my favorites :P

Got to agree there the Leprchaun series were great but SHAUN OF THE DEAD  is my all time favourite monster/horror film
For utter silliness I can recommend HOT FUZZ

Hot fuzz is really good.  If you liked Spaced and Shaun of the dead you will love it.

Spaced is awesome by the way.  Unlike anything else I have ever seen.

Laugh if you want, but I play nearly the entire score to RHPS! There's some of the most  ripping guitar on there ever put down! I was due to play guitar in a local theater stage performance of Rocky, but they decided on another production instead. Perhaps for the better. Still, I might look pretty good in a set of fishnets and a garter belt... :o  :ahhh

I just caught "Aliens" on satellite and was mightily impressed. Not really a horror film, but scary, I guess. Also, it didn't insult the brain with its logic. If only the space Marines had some futuristic multitools...

John Carpenters The Thing.

Absolutely agree.  Still one of my favorite movies of all time.  Here are some others(in no particular order):

Aliens
The Shining
Halloween(original)
Invasion of the Body Snatchers(70s version)
Any movie with Hillary Duff

Also, I'm always a sucker for zombie flicks.

You can't go wrong if there is a zombie in it. :)

Halloween and the shining are great.  Real classics.

I went to see 30 Days of Night yesterday.  It was the most horrible vampire movie that I have ever seen.  Lots and Lots of gore though and that was really cool which is the only good part about the whole movie.

I am hoping that someday someone will manage to come up with better vampire dialog than just that hissing noise.  Nothing to me is worse than an immortal who has managed to gather almost infinate wisdom, power and finances over several lifetimes and all they have to say when the going gets rough is "HISSSSSSSS!"

John Carpenter's The Thing scared the crap out of me when I saw it at the age of ten.  I haven't seen it since, but I plan to soon.

My all-time favorite is probably The Shining.
