Gadget Guy Care Package [Pic Heavy]
on: December 18, 2010, 06:34:16 PM
Thought I'd share some of this really cool stuff John sent me  :salute: We are currently working through a trade and John felt the need to send me this as he is just a great guy  :tu:  This isn't even the trade  :ahhh

The SwissChamp actually came from Craigy and the S2 is from John from a previous trade. The D22 cross is also a kind gift from John earlier in the year  :salute:
The Fenix L0D has added to my Fenix addiction so thank you John  The Mission Wallet is such a useful wallet for an EDC'er on the go  :D

Included is a Mission Wallet, JDR Hammerhead and pocket clip, Raker damascus keyring fob, titanium shackle, bug out bar and a Tad Gear Survival Capsule  :ahhh :tu:
The Tad Gear Capsule is a serious piece of gear for carrying firelighting equipment or other such stuff. On one end it carries a Brunton button compass as well  :tu:

This a D22 steel Swiss Cross made by Dave22, John's friend  :salute: I love this, it is the simplicity of it makes it great. I've seen some other D22 stuff and it all looks amazing  I'd love to add more if the chance came along.

This JDR Hammerhead tool is really great; it's been on my keys since it arrived :D Of course now I've been drooling over his past work

This is an amazing bug out bar; it feels chunky but not heavy.

My son has taken an instant shine to this guy. I know it will eventually 'disappear' into his room; not if I can help it  :ahhh

Not sure who makes this but I really like it. It fits well in my hand.

My first and only piece of damascus; the Raker Damascus Key Ring Fob made by Ray Kirk. Yet another nice piece  :tu:

Thank you very much for this John; these have gone to a very welcoming home

Now I'll have rearrange my keychain setup with some or all of these goodies :tu:

Bit of an update on the P38.5  :tu:

I tried its bottle opening capabilities last night; easy peasy but then most things can open a bottle. The true test came about 5 minutes ago :D A tin of soup was lunch today. Most tins in the UK have those ring pulls but I was not to be deterred and turned it upside down for my test :D

Worked like a dream, a lot easier than the Juice S2 tin opener I tried a few days ago. Definitely earning its place on my EDC  :salute:

Now to try the self defense element of this tool  >:D

Nice gear! I wish they'd bring back those Mission wallets in just plain black leather like the one you've got. Lately all I'm seeing are the stingray or ostrich leather.
