Re-profiling Wenger bottle opener
on: October 13, 2011, 05:44:29 PM
Here's my question:

I would like to re-profile a Wenger bottle opener into a flat Phillips screwdriver. Wenger made some knives for LL Bean with this small flat phillips. I would like to duplicate it. The added bonus will be that the can opener has a lock in Wenger knives, so this screwdriver won't close on my fingers it a lot of pressure is applied.

How difficult would that be? Has anyone tried this mod?

Thank you in advance.

A bottle opener, of course. That's what I meant.

Just checking  :salute: If they both had the same lock that would open up new possibilities

I see no reason not to do it
I guess it will look like the Phillips screwdriver on a Leatherman Micra when you have finished
Do you have access to any tools? A Dremel would be useful  :tu:
Wear eye protection, go slowly and don't let the metal get too hot
