Did you use your Multi-tool on Christmas?
on: December 27, 2010, 09:44:56 PM
I did. Used the phillips driver on my Juice XE6 to open some battery compartments for my nephew's toys, the serrated blade to open some clamshell packaging, the PE blade to shave some kindling for the fireplace, the small screwdriver to reset those little pins that hold a watchband on, and the corkscrew to open up some wine of course.

Screwdriver and pliers on my Juice S2 got used quiet alot, but the Raker Ring Tool cut all the string without I had to worry about small fingers getting in the way. :tu:

Yep, I used most of my pressies [see below] on Christmas day :D The Philips on the ST300 is great  :tu: Best bit was opening presents with the Ka Bar knife; overkill but fun  :tu:

I was at my Mum's on Christmas Eve and had my UKPK knife, Fenix E01 and Juice S2. Her trusty tin opener gave up so my S2 took on the job  :D It wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done but it did the job  :tu:

True enough  :tu:

That was about the height of my stuff at the time. Think it was taken shortly after the KF4 arrived; March I think

That'll be a job for tomorrow then  :D

I used the schrade shears tool to open clam packages and pesky wires around all the toys. I gave my 7 nephews each a multitool for christmas. cheap multi but they loved em.
the screwdirver on the schrade bent while using it so I busted out the leatherman s2 bits and they are much stronger.

In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

I used the hook blade on my MUT for those twisty ties they use in China to make Christmas hell for kids all over America.

Yup.  Used the scissors on my Vic Compact to cut strings for a parlor game, and used my LM Charge Ti to cut some tie wire on some gifts... ;)

I used my LM e302 flipper's philips head to fix the dishwasher's tongue latch. We have a dishwasher that only me & the misses seem to be able too open  ??? ??? :D :D. Anyways we had everyone over to our place & a kind helper had managed too swing off/open the dishwasher door & thrown the latch adjustment out.
The e302 was a Christmas present & the phillips head screw diver did a top notch job on the adjustment  8) 8) , not bad for a flipper  8) 8) 8) 8).

Cut a notch on a piece of wood and break a piece of to roughly shorten it to use as a spacer to force the mechanism of a spit barbecue away from a drum's edge.

Used them alot.  Used the new Cattleman's multitool, used the Spirit pliers, Phillips, woodsaw, fine screwdriver, and butter knife, used the blade and scissors in my vic custom alox, and used the blade on my 1884 replica.

I used others just to play with and admire.

I'll just mention that maybe no SAK feels better, more solid, or assuring in the hand than the 1884 Replica.

Nothing exciting for me- I just used the peanut butter blade on my Spirit to cut some tags off a pair of gloves my wife bought me.

Being prepared means you are ready for the exciting as well as the mundane!
