A week or so before Christmas, the Ducati dealership informed me that my Multistrada needed new valve guides. After looking at my options, I decided to go entirely aftermarket, since the OEM parts only went 24K miles before needing replacement.  The new ones go at least 50K miles.

This means, though I have to mail off the heads for work.

Today, I finally got the heads off!  Talk about a process :ahhh

Multitools used:
1. Charge ALX
2. Atwood Funnybone

Monday, they get boxed up and sent off.  A few broken bits(bolts), but not too bad.  :)

Merit Badges Take part in the christmas pool or a rak type giveaway. Those wanting to say thank you for a rak may also nominate for the santa. For those who posted like a boss. Post your pocket dump photos then challenge two more members who must post their pocket dump photos within 24hrs for you to get the badge. Well, to be fair, disassembling a 6  year old bike with 24K miles AND not breaking any expensive bits, is sort of a win for me.... :-\

Generally this sort of thing leaves me with some inadvertant expensive broken-ness.  :P

So.  I win! = I managed to take apart my bike engine without costing myself any more money than strictly necessary.  ;) :D
