So I take it that the SOG ones are just a sprint run.

It was initially planned as a SOG product, but at one point it was determined that it would be a better fit with the Tool Logic products so it was shifted there.  By that point howevere the handles had already been molded, so it was make a run with SOG branding or toss out a whole pile of perfectly good handles.  I think SOG chose correctly there.
