Swisschamp special scales collection.
on: January 25, 2011, 04:11:27 PM
It took me some time to get the last piece, but my patience paid off big time by getting the MOP Swisschamp at less than half price NIB. Now the collection is complete as far as I know. :D

From left to right: Mother of Pearl, Horn, Rosewood, Hardwood, and Stag Horn.

That's a great collection! The MoP one is usually waaay too expensive. It's great to hear you found one for a nice price :)
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

Great family shot :tu:

I'm trying to think if there are other variations   I know the older MoP had T&T slots and was one of the last models to still include metal tipped tweezers.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Nice!

There are different varieties/species of Stag scales, and T&T options for all the scales. Based on ebay auctions there have been at least a couple steel scaled models made by request.  Of course there is that Tiffany Sterling one which I think Chako already has, and I'm sure there are probably a few we have not seen before that are not regular production.  I suspect that there is likely different types/species of horn scales as well that have been used on the Champ, but I can't recall if I've seen them on that model.  I think we all know there is always another one.

Yes, I have 9 Swisschamps right now, not to mention the XLT, XAVT, and XXLT.

As for variations...yep, there is no end to those.
