I think its now a letter opener but its not quite finished

I'm not sure how the blade should look?  help me out guys

Long or short, plain or serrated?

Oh well... It's serrated (in some abstract sense), so I've gone with "short serrated" :tu: :D

Long smooth.  A letter opener needs to be long and it certainly doesn't need serrations.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Good on you for the mod.  :tu:  Your committed now. It should look good when your
done.
I would go for a letter opener, grind off the serrations and give the blade a bit less
depth so it slides into envelopes easier.  Maybe make it a bit of a dagger shape,
doesn't need to be all that sharp.  The kind of look that comes with letter openers
you buy in store.  :)  Oh, and keep it long.

I voted leave it alone sharped up that steak knife will open letters just fine. I buy those at flea markets for 25 cents each for bait knifes. I sharpen them with a Spedy Sharp or Smiths sharping stick. They sharpen up nice.

Sorry, I'm still not seeing why having another knife on your desk can ever be a bad thing :D

Unless its of poor quality and isn't load bearing ;)

I was hoping for a swing in the polls & Tony would be 'forced' by public demand to put the serrations back  :P :D :D :D
