Hello all,

I have different stamp on the bottom of my Vic SAK:

- "Victorinox Switzerland stainless"

- "Victorinox Switzerland stainless rostfrei"

What is the good marking, did the stamp as changed trow the years ?

The 4 line tang stamp on knives was first introduced in 1968, and that changed over to the 3 line tang stamp with "Swiss Made" in 2005. Check out this resource for tang stamp identification.

Also, that other one I am unsure of since it is on a SwissTool but maybe someone else knows.

Tank you for the link,
So If I understand:
- "Victorinox Switzerland stainless rostfrei" was from 1974 to 2005
=> My picture is from a Explorer that I bought in 2005 and I used during 5 years

- "Victorinox Swiss made stainless" is currently use since 2005
=> My picture is from a SAK given by my company last year (the company logo is blue, so the plastic cover is blue)

- "Victorinox Switzerland stainless" is for the Swisstool
=> My picture is the Swisstool anodized that I used daily, I took the anodized version because I'm a field engineer in power plant so it's often in contact with steam, high PH demineralized water, and cooling sea water.

In my collection I also have the rescue tool and few other "classic" one.
