Back in Uniform
on: October 25, 2007, 08:25:46 PM
In just a little over 24 hours, I'll be following my age old ritual of putting on a uniform, something I haven't done in a few years.  I'm going back to working bars a few nights a week, and I have to say I am really looking forward to it.  The pay isn't great, but then it never is.  I always enjoyed working the bars, even when I didn't care for the bar I was working in.

So, if you find yourself near a pint, raise it up and celebrate with me!

Nice one Def  When you say working bars in a uniform do you mean security or serving in the bar ?

There will probably be a multi making it's way onto my Uncle Mike's web belt.  Most importantly it needs to have a very solid, black (preferably nylon weave, not leather) sheath.  It needs to "fit in" with everything else, and it needs to be low key, and in the event of poop hitting the fan (which I doubt very much at this place) it needs to stay on the belt.

I am thinking Surge, but I may lean towards SwissTool.  I'll let you know.  As for pictures, imagine my old pic, only with a belt that stretches more! :P

Thanks Jock- I've been at this security stuff for a long time, and I always saw bars as "the easy way" since you always have folks (other doormen, patrons, wait staff, bartenders etc) watching your back.  It's a "safe" environment compared to the other places I've worked at!

Hehe, the way I heard the joke, she also needed to be about three feet tall and have a flat head in order to be perfect.  :)
