What is this tool on my SOG multitool?

What is this tool on my SOG multitool?

It looks like a screwdriver with a wire around it. WHat is this used for? Its to fat to be a screwdriver.

Is it the one pictured here between the bottle opener and the scissors?  If so, that is the 1/4 inch driver.  It is supposed to take socket bits.

I will have to try that out and see how it works.it looks kind of odd to me.

No wonder I couldn't figure it out- I don't have the adaptor!  D'oh!

Now where do I order an adapter and why isn't it included with the SOG?

It's just a standard adapter that you can find at any hardware store or wal-mart.  You can find them in socket sets where you turn your 1/4 socket driver into a screw driver that takes any hex bits.

They didn't have them at my Walmart.Maybe they need to hire more people between the ages of ten and 90 and they might have the stuff people need

I found my Power Lock users guide today and it says that you can order the socket adapter for universal hex drive for $5.95 + $2.00 SH.  The number it gave is 888-SOG BEST.

I am going to check the auto supply ((Advance or Auto Zone) store and let you guys know if they have them there .

If that fails then I will order. I suspect Sears would have them, but they are to far away from me.
