Multi Purpose Hatchet Hammer Pry Tool

Anyone else have one of these older, hatchets? and are they worth boxing, like one on ebay,
(look up VINTAGE MOUNTED CLAW HATCHET AXE HAMMER TOOL JACOB BROS)
or should I sharpen it and use it?

Mines, a "Samuel Undreberg from B'KLYN, NY

My grandfather got it for me like 20 years ago, So I dotn want to get rid of it, but I dont know if I should use it, or hang it.

I say use it, i don't think your grandfather intended it to be put in a box.

if you lose it or damage it get a new one and the use it and so on...

Otherwise just get one on ebay and shelve it... that design tends to go for $10-20 max

Looks very similar tool too what Bridgeport manufactures used to make , a US company like Jacob Bros.
A bit odd that it looks a well used tool that has been put in a display box

I have 3 Bridgeport hammer/lever/hatchet tools , I like them a lot

The ones I have a pretty darn stout I have no problem using them , hell if you can break a good ol solid hammer hatchet tool you would be going a bit hard I reckon

. I reckon it is a little silly putting a nice old tool in a display box

just my opinion of course

I am rustling up some items too fix the wooden scales on the handle of my latest Bridgeport.

It has some casting issues I may grind out. I need to dig up an axe sharpening tutorial. (I had hoped it wouldnt be worth much as I kind of used the fire out of it in the woods with my friends as a kid)
