FOUND: Swiss military issue watch
on: February 19, 2011, 06:56:14 AM
After 9 years of faithful service I'm looking for something to replace my venerable North Eagles.  Ideally I'd be interested in a Marathon Tritium Field Watch, but I'd also be interested in CWC/MWC swiss quartz issue watches, Hamilton swiss quartz issue watches, or even perhaps a Luminox Navy Seals or Officer watch.
No mechanicals or autos please, and I dislike NATO straps so if it saves a couple bucks I'd just as soon have the watch shipped strapless.
*SWISS MADE ONLY*

Used and marked is fine, as long as the crystal is clear and it's keeping time.

I have a brand new Leatherman SS Skeletool or E33L folding knife I could trade, in part or whole.  I could even probably dig up a NIB Gerber MP400 with the older style clip-point blade if that floats your boat as well.
Shoot me a PM with pics if you have something.  Thanks

I have this one:

Brand new, no box, and I think I have the manual somewhere for it too.  I bought a few on closeout, sent a few out as gifts, wear one myself (when I'm not wearing my Seiko Orange Monster) and have one left.

Here's the description from my EDCSource auction:

Quote
Swiss Made. ETA Swiss quartz movement. Water-resistant (50m/165 ft). Built with sports-inspired construction and design. Luminous hands and markers for easy visibility in low-light conditions. A curved scratch-resistant mineral crystal. Stainless steel back. Nylon strap with a Velcro brand closure. 3-year manufacturer's warranty.

This item is brand new, with manual/warranty info. It has never been worn, and includes the original Wenger strap. It is a discontinued model, and originally retailed for $100.00 US.

Photo is of actual watch, not a stock photo. Please contact me with any questions

Let me know if you are interested.

Mm.... perhaps I wasn't quite as clear as I needed to be.  I'm looking for one of the following:

-Marathon tritium field watch
-CWC or MWC field issue watch
-Other military issue watches such as Stocker Yale or Hamilton
-Luminox Navy Seals or Traser H3 field

I'm not looking for Vic/Wenger watches or Swatches.

Sorry, should've been clearer with my titling.  My North Eagles is an almost impossibly rare watch and pretty well irreplaceable because the company that made it only made watches commercially for about 2 years.  It's given me 9+ years of solid service, and if I replace it, I'd like to replace it with something a little out of the ordinary.

While I like SAK/Wenger watches, they just aren't special enough.

Some are, but this one is pretty plain.  I like it because of that, but my Seiko still sees more wrist time.  Still, it's probably the best quality beater I've ever had!  :D
