    I am looking for an older Victorinox Champ, but the emblem on the scales does not look right, and I cannot read what is on the side of the knife and the tang. The photos are poor. I am not an expert, so any info will help!!

That emblem on the knife is real. I read here before that it was used for the Arabic/Islamic market, where things with crosses aren't allowed... At least, that's what I heard here. Besides that, I don't see any signs of it being a fake.

Real.

That shield is used on SAKs for the Saudi market as the use of the cross is prohibited there.

They use this cross: (picture by SC5000)
