need iPod advice

I need some advice from you about what to do with my iPod touch. My 2nd gen iPod touch will not be supported by the new 4.3 firmware.  Should i jailbreak it or not?

Does it not work anymore then? I have an (feels like  ) 10 year old ipod, still working fine  Perhaps you should contact Apple?

@zepla: it works, but the new version has been announced to only work with the 3rd and 4th gen, not my 2nd.

Do you mean the new version of Itunes does not work with your 2nd gen Ipod?

You'll just be lacking the 4.3 firmware, and whatever goodies come with it.

You won't lose any existing functionality.

There are plenty of reasons to jailbreak but this doesn't seem to be one of them.

Jailbreaking can be fun though, and you have access to additional apps that aren't available on the app store and even pirated apps if you so choose.
