What are you?

Hardcore collector (tries to own every model ever made)
Collector (maybe not every model but has an interest in some rare/limited ones)
Functional collector (only buys what he/she can use but it's slowly getting out of hand)
Functional buyer (only buys what he/she can use and that aint much)
Newbie (is newly interested in SAKs and may or may not have one or two)

What's pathetic is,

Not one of us is healthy enough to admit we're a hardcore collector. :P

*shug*

I'll admit it. My goal is to have one of each known model 84mm and 91mm Victorinox. I actually have a complete 84mm collection (so far as I know), and am getting close on the 91mm (missing < 10). I also like to collect different model variants; for example I have a pretty complete set of Champions from 1952 to present. If that's not a hardcore collector (and a sure sign of a need for therapy) I'm not sure what is.

Awesome!

I would suggest that many of us are hardcore, but not successful  ;)

I'd love to have a complete Atwood collection AND complete Wave/Charge version collection AND complete Alox collection, but I recognize that ain't never gonna happen.  ;)

I'm with you, (in spirit)

Functional collector fits me the best. I don't have too much in the collection, and I try to use everything I have to justify owning them (to others, not me :)). It IS getting at bit crowded around here knifewise though....
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D
