Show your Rare Leatherman Tools
on: January 05, 2024, 11:00:03 AM
I have been a Leatherman fan since I was 10 years old and have been lucky to either own or handle about 70% of the Leatherman tool models designed, and my EDC is a leatherman 90% of the time.

Recently I have been involved in the SAK Classic January, and it got me thinking about what is the rare leatherman tools that people have out there?

So share a picture of either your grail / rare or just special to you Leatherman tools.

I had the Leatherman Steens, but I think the rarest is the leatherman stache, a give away back in 2012 or 2013 in the month of November to only 31 people...or so I believe?  I promise I will dig out the winning photo I submitted  :multi:

I am very interested to see what is out there, and the stories behind them

All the best, Gra

Nothing rare in my small collection, but I’ve seen a lot of photos of tools signed by Tim Leatherman.

Having one signed in person by the inventor would make it pretty special!

Agreed.

I have a number of books signed my famous people, doesn't stop me reading them, but a signed Leatherman it would be a joy and sorrow in the fact I would not want to rotate it in use.

Awesome that you have the Stache :o Very rarely seen even on here :salute: :like: :like:

I have several signed tools and since I have a few it doesn't bother me as much to carry them

Not sure what else I have that would be considered rare  I have several that could possibly fit that bill but not sure exactly which ones :ahhh

I would be grateful to see a picture of your signed collection.

The Stache is a strange and in my eyes not a very good tool, with a single use. But nice to have....I have found the winning photos :-)

Great thread idea!  I’ve got a few rare ones that I will have to dig into the archives for. A set of LM binoculars comes to mind.

(Image removed from quote.)

That is a lovely collection... I'll have to take a photo of mine, I have moved on a few, and regret it a little, but still have a few.

The Stache was always going to be a limited edition run, and not available to buy so a bit of a treat to have...but as I said not much of a tool so interest only. I have been thinking of rehoming it, as down sizing...?

Apart from the Steens (now sold), the Juice KF4 and original PST / Wave are the grail MT in my collection.
