I recently acquired my first Rough Rider. The sodbuster-style “Work Knife”. I could see these Rough Riders becoming a habit...

I think you will be quite pleased with it. This is a solid worker so far. It walks, talks and cuts as well as other folders I’ve had that were 6 or 7 times its price. And it’s as sharp as any knife I’ve seen right out of the box. Be sure to get the larger RR817 for the 3.25 inch cutting edge.

I have one Rough Rider. I would have more, but I don't use traditional pocket knives much anymore and already have a ton of the traditionals. Also, I don't see them for sale locally anymorw.  :)
BUT, with that being said, about 8 years ago, I realized I did not own an elephant's toenail pocket knife. A vendor at the store I work in had a few NIB RRs, and one elephant's toenail knife. Brown bone scales, polished brass bolsters, 440 stainless and impeccable fit and finish for $29. It was 1/4 the cost of a Case brand one. I splurged and got it. Never regretted it. I've carried it a fee dozen times and the blades are more useful than expected. Now I have been looking for RRs since and nobody at the store has them anymore, but if they carried them again I would buy a few more. They are superb quality for the money. :)

It is definitely a pocket knife bucket lister! Best part is when you pull it out to use it and people are all like "whooaa what is that". :D

Here's a few pics of my Marlin spike before I send it off to Ductapetech. It's a really nice knife - great f&f, jigged bone scales, locking spike, bail  :D - so much win, but it's much bigger than I thought it would be - see pic of Tuesdays Tinker for comparison. I hope Nate has larger pockets than me.

Thanks Mags! I have lots of deep pockets. I think that knife will be an nice addition to my camping/bushcrafting gear. Should pair up nicely with my Moras.
