My EDC (SOG) mt
on: March 16, 2011, 09:45:17 PM
Here are my three favorite EDC multitools:

Black oxide FKMD/SOG Pocket PowerPlier (added Phillips screwdriver and swapped scissors with straight blade)

ParaTool (added double tooth saw)

Black oxide ParaTool (swapped serrated blade with double tooth saw and added V-Cutter)

Being a righthander, I also swapped all straight blades to the outer left side of the handle to make the edge more useable when whittling for example. (I hope I translated it correct...  :D )

Because of the V-Cutter being thinner than other tools, I added a thin spacer to eliminate blade play. The double tooth saws didn´t fit at first because they are a bit to long. But filing a bit off of the tip already did the trick. ;)

Hope you like them!  :) :multi:

Yup, I like the PPP, edc'd it for a number of weeks and did a bit of a tool swap and mod
of one of them to make it pretty much a perfect carry for me.  I'll have to dig it out
again. :)
Nice pictures Dr.  How do you find the Paratool perhaps a bit fiddly?

Yes, it sure is a bit fiddly. But I just dig the design very much! And it is comparatively small and lightweight while it doesn´t hurt in the hands when using any tools.  :multi:
