My One Year Anniversary
on: May 04, 2011, 05:45:21 AM
Hello everyone.  I found this forum a year a go via a Google search.  It was then that I started asking questions and learning about multitools.  On 5/24/2010 my wife bought me from money that was saved up for birthdays a Leatherman Wave.  It is my favorite multitool so far, I just love it.  My birthday will be coming up in a couple of weeks so I want to start saving up for a gift.  I am on a fixed income due to my eyesite, so it will not not anything expensive.  I prefer to use tools rather than collect them.  I own the following items:

Leatherman Wave with bitkit & extension
Vic Deluxe Tinker SAK
Vic Mini Champ
Pocketwrench 2

I had some other items but I gave them away as gifts to family.  I am asking for some ideas as what to get next.  I am not sure what I really want/need, but I am being asked what I want for my birthday by my mother and wife.  Thank you for the ideas.  :)

What's the price range? For the around the 50usd I would say, one of the Leatherman Juice models, a Vic Farmer, 4sevens revo for a AAA flashlight, one of the zebra lights for a AA.

The price range is $50 or less.  For lights I own a Quark 123X2, Fenix LD01, and a modded Surefire 6P to hold one 18650 cell and LED dropin.

LOL, that is too funny.  :)  I have never owned any CRKT tools before, I have only seen pictures of them on this forum.  I wonder where I could get my hands on some CRKT items?  Wait a sec....I think I know someone who is sending me some CRKT stuff.  I forgot his name though....I just sent a SOG and a PST to Serbia, so I could use the CRKT stuff to replace it.  LOL  :)

Thank you for the kind words.  It is hard to believe that a year ago I was multitool-less.  :)  I now enjoy my LM Wave.  :)

Thank you very much.  I do not feel like I will be 36, I still feel like a teenager.....which is a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it.  My birthday will be the 24th of this month, and the funny thing is....so is my wife's birthday.  We were born the same month and day but one year apart.

Well here is an update.  My wife bought for me an early birthday gift.  I know about it because of the email that I got.  I have on the way a Spyderco Tenacious folding knife.  I am so excited.

She is my best friend.  I have been doing a lot of reading, looking Online, and typing on this forum in another area and I came up with a list of four knives to pick from and I let her pick the knife for me.  She picked the Spyderco.  :)

I just got a wonderful box in the mail today.  First things first, it was from GadgetGuy and I am very thankful and grateful for this gift and suprise.  He told me that I was being sent a Kershaw Skyline, but there was far more than that in that box.  It brought me to tears when I saw it all.  I want to say a heart felt thank you to GG for this fantastic gift.

I am not sure what else to say, this is just flippin' sweet and an awesome birthday gift.  I have never seen many of these items and that Case knife is just pretty.
