I actually deal only with this guy.
http://www.hbforge.com/

He has been making my Hawks for years and I got to say his prices are dead on. By the way last year he had made me a shawnee hawk with the spike and it cost me only $55.

You will get a good product also from others but not hand made and forged at that price!

Wow, those are some nice looking hawks and the prices are nice to!  Any closeup pics of your custom?

Last night I sent off an email to Justin at Ranger Knives about his hawk just to see if I got a reply...and I did!  He's still taking orders...I might pull the trigger on the Renegade early next week :ahhh

Yah he is a great guy.I just hope everyone does not think I am trying to get Corr to dump the Idea of the Ranger. It is an Excellent kit piece. however at the price I would be reluctant to use it in the bush. My H&B I will abuse all day and drive tent stakes in on the eye which I cant do with a spike.

Secondly the spike just turned a Hawk into a weapon. Not good when you run into police :twak: Trust me they will keep you there for a while as you go into great detail why the spike is on it. :ahhh

Cold steel does make a decent hawk for the price. You will have to touch up the edge, and sand down the handle. They laquer them. Bit you can usually find them cheap enough to make them the perfect beater piece to keep in the car.

I'll use the Ranger hawk for small stuff in the backyard, but I don't think I'll be throwing/digging/prying with it.  I'll probably keep it beside my bed when not outside, and it generally LOOKS like a really cool peice.

I'll definately look into those other hawks you mentioned and maybe design my own at some point :ahhh

Now you are addicted to the real origan multi tool. I have been playing with these since I was in the Corps. They are a fantastic tool to use in the bush, In fact when I teach the Map Compass and survival course for the state I usually tell students to dithch the knives and carry just two impliments a quality multi and a  Hawk.

I just sent over the money for a Renegade with the hook grind "upgrade".  That's the area right underneath the main chopping blade right?  Used for "hooking" (and cutting) an opponent I assume..

Kind of a lot of money, but I'm sure even a used Renegade hawk is worth quite a bit if I ever decided to sell it.

I'll take two!

Those weird tools crack me up...

micky d I'll snap some pics of that hawk when I get it...considering the dimensions it should be a lot smaller than what it looks like in the pictures.  I got a bogus tracking number today, but that might just be because UPS didn't put it in their system yet when I tracked it.  If it jeft MI today I should have it Wednesday or Thursday :ahhh
