I was surprised at the number of multiple cell (like more than 3) lights they're listing now. Must be a market for those, but to me, the 1 and 2 cell models have much greater appeal.

Totally agree.

The LD03 seems interesting. A shorter pen light with a single AAA, looks be be much more pen-pocket friendly than most 2xAAA lights I suspect.
