That INOXYDABLE stamp is interesting! Maybe a batch for the French market? Or for French speaking Switzerland
Here is an interesting comparison of some St. Christopher SAK's tang stamps. The 2 Elinox marked ones are regular Automobile models and have slightly different size stamp markings. The Victorinox/Victoria marked one is the Deluxe Automobile with long nail file.
2005. Your CT must be old stock.
I always thought it was an umbrella
Oddballs happen. I've a Vic. with no tang stamps on at all and its definitely the real deal

Didn't realize Neil had one also, missed this thread somehow... Anyhow, I have posted this one elsewhere. Camper with solid white scales and no tang stamps. It is an oddball El C.

The corkscrew turns deep into the archivesThat's awesome!!!I've got an Economy Elinox Spartan, back is blank but that seems more common. Never have I seen a blank inox slate.
Does Vic sell factory seconds with their name removed? I know many other makers do, but typically not directly to the public. My theory to the completely unstamped tang is one of two things, factory second or factory goof up in which the stamping step was missing.

Pretty sure mine is simply an oversight, every aspect of the tool is highest Vic quality. I think manufacturing on that scale is going to allow a few odd ones slip through the cracks. I'm sure I could have them replace it under warranty if I didn't like it so much the way it is.
