Tried twice to buy tools off DaveK and twice they've gone nowhere

I've PM'd, I've emailed and I've posted ... and his account has been active
A quick message to say he was busy would have been fine, but if he's too busy to even do that ... can he make it to the post office? No hard feelings - I'm not out of pocket money wise - but it's not filled me with confidence so I'll not be sending any money through

I think this is the first bad feedback I've ever seen for Dave..
Dave is not nearly as active here anymore and I think he's just very busy elsewhere. I've done a bunch of trades with him and I can vouch for he's a good guy..  :salute: :salute:

Wow!

Nate - many thanks for e-mailing me about this, I was totally unaware.

Just to put the record straight - I have had absolutely no dialog about ANYTHING with this guy, whoever he is. I certainly haven't suggested he can have any of my tools!

If he's going to start slating me based on a non-happening - he can sod off! The Core is still for sale to anyone else that wants it though :p

EDIT: I have just noticed that he's PM'd me wanting to buy that LM Core 4 days ago (the e-mail notifications still don't work here it seems), and I have an older PM too, but I've not even replied, let alone suggested I'll be trading anything with him.
I used to come here a lot.

100% agree!!! Impressive how several days worth of communication (posts in thread, PM and direct email) from has failed to get through - then this gets responded to in under an hour!

To reitterate my earlier point, and I quote ..

No hard feelings - I'm not out of pocket money wise - but it's not filled me with confidence so I'll not be sending any money through

One more thing ... if I'd had these issues with someone else, I'm sure you'd appreciate me leaving the feedback so you didn't end up getting frustrated in a trade with them

Good luck with the sales  :tu:

To be fair,

I saw this thread and privately emailed Dave regarding this issue.  It would have been similarly resolved by PMing concerns to a Moderator too, without the public drama.  Many ways to skin a cat, some of them allow one to avoid getting bitten.

Just let's get this straight - you have PM'd me - I have no e-mails from you. I even just checked my spam filters. Nate e-mailed me, I responded straight away because I received the e-mail and knew someone was after me!

One more thing ... if I'd had these issues with someone else, I'm sure you'd appreciate me leaving the feedback so you didn't end up getting frustrated in a trade with them

Sorry mate - you've given the impression that I've done badly on a trade that existed only in your own mind. My rep here is cast-iron. Trying to justify your over-reaction and dramatics will back-fire. I'd probably drop it if I were you :)

Just a few weeks ago I've finished a "smooth as can be" transaction with DaveK. No frills.
This case might just be a communication problem, I guess: now what interest could davek possibly have into ignoring 50ft-trad's bids? A "where's davek, I'm having troubling getting in touch" thread might have been more appropriate, instead.

But I'm sure everything will end up nice.

Peace guys!

DaveK is a good guy. I had nothing but good dealings with him. My experience with Dave is that he usually goes above and beyond what is necessary to make a deal good.
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

OK - issue resolved! We both feel like we got stuffed  :D

Seriously though, this sounds like it all happened without either of us having the info we should have had - which would have prevented all this. For the record mods were contacted beforehand AND DaveK has said he got no notification from the site (irrespective of how many ways I tried to get through)

We're both in the clear, we both got annoyed, but we're both moving forward with our heads held high ...  :tu:

"nothing to see here ... move along ..."

I'm glad this little communication hiccup has been resolved amicably :tu:

I've personally traded with both 50ft-trad and DaveK and would be more than happy to do so again with both gentlemen  :salute:
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.
