Nice SAK, lovely pics. Though, if I'm honest, I'd always assumed you'd be taller.
Don't read anything about Victorinox knives ... don't read anything about Victorinox knives ... Hey, somebody started a topic about "The Future of Alox" ... hmmm ... Alox ... .

Hey, somebody started a topic about "The Future of Alox" ... hmmm ... Alox ... .Until recently I only owned one Victorinox SAK (Cybertool 34 - looks a lot like my avatar), but I kept reading about how great the Alox Farmer was, I took a look at the pictures and it really did look nice. Then there was a special on Amazon and I ended up buying a Farmer & a Cadet - both very nice BTW. The Farmer is really nice, but the Cadet is a good option for a small slim SAK that can disappear into a pocket.I also wanted a good camping SAK and though the Huntsman looked like a pretty good choice I decided I wanted a SAK with a file, so I bought a Huntsman with a file, which Victorinox call a 'Ranger'. It also gets a small flat screwdriver & a chisel on the back side, otherwise it is the same as the Huntsman. I had to spend $50 on Victorinox for the special ($10 off if you spend $50) and I did that twice - Farmer + Cadet and Ranger + Trekker. The Trekker is a pretty good camping SAK too (but no file) with a similar tool set to the Farmer, but not Alox and noticeably bigger. Now I'm waiting for my SwissTool X to arrive which will make a total of 6 Victorinox tools in my collection. That will be enough! For now . . .
Nup , sorry mate , I think you may find you need a Spirit
C'mon man, now I'll be ordering a flippin pioneer next. Jeez, I gotta learn to stop reading Victorinox threads. I can usually resist the Leatherman temptation, but rarely can I avoid buying a SAK after seeing well shot photos of them. Yours, BTW, are great!
For the love of God, stop talking about a Spirit ...

Some people actually avoid snapping their SAK's

If you snap the blades , the edge gets a bit of free damage towards the tip when it slams on the stop ( liner and or backspring) at least when new. After much re-sharpenig it might be a different story. Regards, jatrias

I have noticed this on all of my alox 84 mm Cadets, but it doesn't touch on my 84mm Recruit, or any of my 91 and 93mm knives.

It's just awesom....It's precise like Swiss Watch and why am I not surprised with that?!? Havin in mind how small it is, it sounds like small rattle snake But I wouldn't use it on heavier duty tasks, that's why I got wrench....
Good move!!! You can get a Red one the next time.... or just another black one!
SAKWiki you say ... Maybe I should check that out ...
