The Da Juicie Code

I finally figured out the Juice Code.At first I thought they were just fancy and technical sounding names but now I know the truth.

c2= Corkscrew, 2 external tools (corkscrew and knife)
s2= Scissors, 2 external tools (scissors, knife)
cs4= Corkscrew and Scissor, 4 external tools (scissor, corkscrew, knife and saw)
Kf4= serrated Knife and file, four external layers (serrated blade, plain blade, saw and file)

The xe6 breaks the mold a little since there are no x or e tools in it, but it does have 6 external tools
Yabba dabba doo!

Excellent sleuthing Fred!

Nice job Fred! I'd heard the explanation for the numbers before, but never knew there was any significance to the letters.
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Hmm... that is pretty interesting.  I always wondered what they stood for...

Still a relevant thread with relevant info for all so I have no problem with a little thread necromancy  :tu:

So after a recent discussion elsewhere I decided to ask Leatherman themselves for the true meaning of life the xE6. Beth was very helpful with her response below  :tu:

"6 comes from 2 handles times 3 layers of external tools.  XE did not represent specific features or words.  It just implied it had the most and everything."

I'm no Einstein but I propose the following equation :D
2 handles x 3 layers Equals 6

I beleive Xelkos got a reply from Leatherman as well;

"The XE in the Juice XE6 does not have specific words associated with each letter as you pointed about above regarding ( K,S,C,P & E). The letters "XE" were used to basically say the tool has Xtra Everything or Xtra Essentials something a...long those lines. We wanted to express that this tool has everything you would ever need and much much more."

I have to say I'm more inclined to go with Beth's reply above  :salute: Although, who's to say when deciding the Juice names the designers didn't throw a load of Scabble letters in a bag and pick at random  :o :ahhh :ahhh

I asked on the Leatherman USA Facebook page, and Michael from Public Relations gave me his answer. Posted it for what it was worth.
