A Rare Version of The DET
on: April 15, 2011, 06:48:36 AM
I found this a few days ago.  I have never seen one before.  My guess(and J-Sews) is it's an early DET model. There are several differences between it and the common one.

 Different Crinmper

Curved Cutters instead of the normal straight style

The C4 spike is a flat bar instead of the normal round style.

Different tool load.

Those curved wire cutter surfaces are a trip. :o That means this plier head was cast in an entirely different mold than the standard plier head.

It may not command a high price like rare leathermans but that may be as rare as any other tool out there.

This post is not mine originally, but WH867's post.
Due to some issues around photobucket.com, you can hardly see many important photos posted by WH867.
So I will back up his photos and restore some of his posts.

※ Some of photos he posted were missing. But I found other photos in his album at Photobucket related this topic. I reconstructed his post using them. So all mistakes are my responsibility.
