I might see how it cleans  and put a edge on it , and leather wrap the handle , possibly make a leather sheath for it,  :D

Nice find Mate  :tu:

Looks like a little blade made from an old file to me
It should sharpen up very well but watch out for rust when you have it shiny  :salute:

Everything’s adjustable

Yeah, looks like a file to me.  Neat!  It''l be a real nice utility blade with a good handle on it.

I would get rid of the red rust and then force a patina on it.

What would you use to do that Terry?

you can use vineger if im not wrong to make a nice patina, patina is like rust but posher  :D

i wish i could drill 2 holes in it to fix a handle on and possibly a landyard hole, but i might just stick it on or leather wrap it,

My Search-Fu is strong today..  :mn:  :D

Very cool!  That's about the most compact corkscrew knife I've ever seen.

The "forced patina" with vinegar that I did on the Humpback will work on any carbon blade.  It will have no effect on stainless blades.  Other methods can be used to get a patina but, AFAIK, vinegar & steel wool is the best way to get an even finish.  The longer the blade is exposed to the acid, the darker the patina will be--to a point.  Mustard, onions, citrus fruits, apples, raw meat, etc. can be used also to different effect.

Very nice!

And I agree with the others.  It looks like an old farrier's file reworked into a blade

Discussions on forcing a patina and whether the SRM 710 looks like the Sebenza. That reminds me of some other forum….  ???
I can see the Cold Steel love or hate and S30V vs the rest topics coming up soon.

Great little tool, looks interestingly primitive!  :tu:
