mhhh I lost the link.. I will look trough my browser history and find where I found more info on that one, it was on a GSA site.Anyway this tool is aimed at military support personnel working on electrical and networking duty. it has some class 5 networking wire crimper and stuff.. and for the money it costs it is better to be able to crimp even IBM token ring stuff!! (let see how many ppl know token ring..) this tool is listed in the 600USD range.. pricey isn't it?

BobDo you own one? Are both the pics you posted gerber or is the black one a knock off?
it seems like a clever tool but looks plasticky and is way over priced, although the detachable handle is cool. Does anyone have one?
If it does the job of several tools and saves weight it is probably worth it to the military,I'm not a gerber fan,but I'm pretty impressed with what I see. PS: Nice catch CV1073,and welcome to the forums.
It's worth noting that the Cable Dawg has dropped in price from $750 to $300, not that I'll be getting one, but it's getting more realistically priced.
Yes. I can't see myself spending 300 for one.
