Sword
on: April 29, 2011, 10:14:44 AM
A mate dropped off his reenactment sword for me to play with a while ago
I straightened it up and put a bit of an edge on it for him
He doesn’t enact anymore so its destined it hang on a wall somewhere in Wales

That is so cool tony, i gave my cavalry sword  (bad spelling lol ) to my uncle about 20 years ago and it still sits behind his bar , as its just sitting there i might ask for it back and re-wrap the leather handle and clean it up , although i dont think the wife will let me hang it on the wall  :D

It is a great big thing, I have no idea how you would swing that about in battle it made my arm ache just holding it  :ahhh

I would have liked to keep it here hung on a wall but it had to go home

:D  it was about 80f out side and the gear dont help , plus not at best at the moment, but was interesting but lots of traditional rules, coral liked slapping me around the face with her glove asking for a duel  :D

Nice sword. I have a few myself. I just love the history behind them, and at one point, thought I was going to collect them but that turned into collecting something a bit more practicable once I started visiting this site...SAKs. No regrets.  :D
