That's another nice thing about the 84mms, they are relatively inexpensive. I paid $17 delivered for the Walker and recently spent $17 on a burger and fries, which I was only able to carry for about 10 hours

Just look at this late 80's/early 90's small tinker NIB beauty, never used, not a scratch, solid scales...

If only i lived in the States....

Mate, if you're trying to get it on my behalf i appreciate the gesture immensely, but it's not worth the bother really... The shipping cost from the US to Europe alone would be huge and not worth it unfortunately  :(
Shipping costs from the US are usually above $20, plus the final cost of the item it would be too high...
I remember back in 2006/07 paying like 5 bucks or less for small items shipping, in later years prices has gone up exponentially unfortunately :(

But if you want it for yourself, go for it mate, its well worth it

Great NIB "old style" economy Tourist (no T&T and key ring) on e-bay now, if anyone is interested...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Victorinox-84mm-Economy-Knife-NIB-V23600/152567240612?_trksid=p2047675.c100012.m1985&_trkparms=aid%3D777003%26algo%3DDISCL.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D41376%26meid%3D060536f34a3f4eb48774cb76c6741bd5%26pid%3D100012%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D162497397645

Pretty sweet.

I just picked up this dude to add to my 70's ad Tourist collection.

Sweet  :like:

Incidentally that auction on the NIB Tourist economy went for $6.50  :o
Hope someone in the forum bought it, or at least some one who will love it, treat it right, and put it to good use  :D

There is another auction for an well used (cracked mag frame) 80's Yeoman for $118...  :o Really...? :sa:
I mean it's nice, but not even nearly close to $100 nice...

Ridiculous.  I actually put down a bid on that Tourist but set a $10 (w/shipping) limit for myself b/c I've gone a little crazy this past week:

6 Farmers (one sent to Dad)
1 Pioneer
2 Soldiers ('85 NIB, '94)
1 OC Popular
2 SI's('82, '01)
1 Vintage Tinker Small
1 Ranger (inlay)
1 Camper (inlay)
1 Tourist (70's Economy)
1 Executive (white)
1 Bantam
1 Super Tinker

There is also a nice NIB vintage Recruit economy on now, but starting price is a bit high, and the "buy it now" is not very low either...  :-\
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VICTORINOX-SWISS-ARMY-KNIVES-2-2500/292140635037?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D41375%26meid%3Dd0a97c738fc448ba9c90fc6974823722%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D112431528408

I don't think it's that bad of a deal. Especially for that awesome 70s box.

I think only the box is a probably 70's (style) one, the sak is described as being 90's, and the groove in the can opener seems to be from the 90's too
But yeah... on second thought it's not really a bad price...

Too True. And if that extra 1mm comes with Jelly Red scales (I'm a sucker for Jelly Red)... in short I've had a day of guilt for leaving the Sportsman at home. And tomorrow the Tinker Small will get a day out. Oh dear oh dear oh dear .... :dwts: :dwts: :dwts:

85mm's are not without their charm...

I'm sure no one will blame you if you carry her for Wenger Wednesday.

Thanks guys, shiny I know but I tend to carry my smaller SAKs in a cloth pouch to save it from pocket rash so it's a bit self polishing  :salute:

is that something specific you've got a link too?

No it's just something I made for myself from a strip of curtain as it happens. As shown here with my 85mm Evolution 10

ooops, I forgot I asked about this. :-[  cheers mate.

The Lumberjack, or rather, the new Walker with t&t, is my fave 84mm. I have several and am considering modding the combo tool into a curved serrated blade like the one on the Hunter. Anyone tried this before? Thoughts?
