Not sure I've ever seen 84mm yellow scales, but it would sure be nice. :)

Apparently they were made:

This thread needs some attention. Here's an interesting one - officially called a 232kaU by Victorinox. It's not a Golfer, but rather a cellidor version of the alox Voyageur from the late 1960s.

This was an odd knife at the time, as the only 84mm knives with cap lifter combo-tools were the Elinox branded alox knives. The alox versions all had unpolished tools and "Elinox" stamps, where as the 232kaU has fully polished tools and a "Victoria" stamp. The oddest thing about this knife is that has a nickel-silver divider between the layers, just like the Voyageur. I unofficially and unimaginatively call this a "Cellidor Voyageur".

Together with an alox Voyageur from the same era:

My 84mm love is definitely Recruits, I've got one tucked away everywhere, the scales on the Zebra one I took from a spare Bantam.

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day,
listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is by no means a waste of time

My 84mm love is definitely Recruits

They are sexy little things.
It makes it hard to justify carrying the 91mm models.

Vintage Victorinox/Victoria 237kU, it has seen quite a bit of use. The saw is really pollished on this one.

84mms are great little knives. I have three at the moment, a Bantam, an Alox Bantam, and a Cadet. I just saw in the newest SMKW catalog that they have small Tinkers in stock, going to have to get one, and a Recruit, and.......

Nice one - I really wanted that one  :ahhh

All 84mm and 91mm saws - except for on the Elinox knives - are fully polished until the early 1960s. Some of the earliest "small awl" versions (back when they still had the shackle) have the polished saw, but they seemed to disappear pretty quickly and the vast majority of the knives made after the switch to the small awl are unpolished.

Is that a 25 or 35 tooth saw?

Ah, that's why I had to pay a little more than expected for it.  I thought the saw was 32 teeth, but it's likely 35; that would mean it's clearly not the 25 though.

An interesting mint "ECONOMY" (reverse tang) Lumberjack variant with a regular caplifter rather than the combo tool (2.1311).  I would have expected such a knife to have an Elinox stamp on the obverse, not Victorinox.

The Lady Golfer?  Even a Swiss Army Knife can be elegant.  The picture does not do her justice though, I'll have to work on that.

And Jan, did you get that one from a guy from Amersfoort?

No! I have this one from someone who did collecting just an few SAK's in the past
and offers these at me for now.
I don't know what I bought, just that these ones are old and goodlooking.
But I learn fast. ;)

'Tis a shame Victorinox does not make the top two anymore.

Man Gareth is lucky I didn't see that one on EDCSource; beautiful!

Ha... that Silver Cadet Plus is being refered to as a Micro Farmer by +B, not Mini Farmer the earlier ones were tagged with.  SAKwiki is calling them all Cadet II Plus.  It's a nice combination.

That Firesteel Cadet posted in another thread should be in this thread as well.  That's an exceptional piece, first one made I believe right?

Another nice thing about 84mm knives is they can be found in Smooth Alox a whole lot easier than their bigger 91mm brothers.  I got this one cheap; probably because its got a little character.

Wow love the Fire Striker Cadet!  Nice to see something new in the 84mm line.

Here is an old smooth alox advertising knife with a nice sheild on the bottom scale (also has small clip-point blade).
