Ahh don't worry mate, they'll get over it.... My small Tinkers feel the same...  :ahhh  I've been more inclined to the corkscrew models these days namely the Tourist, don't know why...  :think:

I must get a backup (or two) for the current Tourist one of these days, only have another one that's from 2006, but i like the half stop on the newer ones better.

Very doable in the 84mm world if you take your time and look around enough.  I have 2 Tourists that have company logos on their front scales while the back scale is blank (these are red).  They're were in great shape so I bought them for parts as I'm not attached to this model at all (I'm a Golfer, Tinker,  84mm scissor and clip point small blade fan).

I also have a couple of Bantams and Waiters that have promo scales, where the front scales are blank and the back scales have the Vx logo inlay (got these new, in boxes; one of each in green scales and one of each in white scales). I've also purchased other 84's where the Vx logo inlay is on the back scale.

I guess if i looked around for used ones, esp older models it would be relatively easy to find a ref back scale with shield, but I was thinking in getting a brand new scale as I'm not really a fan of recycling scales on a new sak, once you take it off, I will never be the same as it was new.
I'll ask next time  go to the dealer but those are probably not sold like the regular ones and only used at Vic for advert models.

But that's not really important, just a bit of fun. A reissued small climber or salesman on the other hand would be serious fun.....  :drool:

That's a little better, a little sand/polish on the back scale and just the headlight stuff on the front since it was in pretty good shape

Humm... I think you did...  :think: Even posted a pic of my home studio on the "latest sak" topic a couple of days ago i think.

Yep, huge long time Floyd fan here  :salute:
Gilmour was the responsable for me starting to play guitar in the first place, him and Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits)  :salute:
Started out on keyboards and later on guitars, now I play equally both, as well as bass, harmonica, accordion and a bit of drums and mandolin  :cheers:

Well... after all this time, i've just noticed something on the Vic catalog...  :facepalm:

One can still get a 84mm without the keyring.... more specifically the Sportsman. I've never even noticed this before, and would preferd this option was available for the Tourist or the Small Tinker as i'm not really a huge fan of the Sportsman, but hey... it's better than nothing...  :D

Now i'll just have to buy one or three Sportsman without the keyring... :ahhh :ahhh :facepalm:
