What is good price for 84mm Climber small with LNF ? This one is for sale now in FB group.

It's a pretty uncommon variation and people really dig the 84mm w/lnf.. i think it would go for up to $100 or more on fleabay.  I think a "good" price would be $50-60.
What if it had horn scales and came with box? :dd:

I'm really digging these 84mm's, never handled one in person though.
I used to be the guy who thought the point of an SAK was to have more, but the Compact really changed my view of things, and I really love the feel of it in pocket and in hand.
I just don't care for the combo tool, so now I think I have to get myself a Tinker small.

Excellent choice mate  :D
Of course, I'm a bit biased on the small tinker though...

I like the compact and its concept, really do, but that darn combo tool....
Why the heck couldn't they just put the standard bottle opener in there instead of it...
I still say, my dream sak would be a cross between the old voyager and the small tinker: Std bottle opener and main blade, scissors, and the Phillips and awl on the back.

Awl buy one of those  :gimme:
I agree about the Compact, its almost the perfect pattern and I appreciate the concept, but the combo tool and lack of an awl don't do it for me.

DO IT!!  :pok:

You will absolutely love it! :tu:

Tinker small - a very nice and unobtrusive SAK.

A small experiment trying to take a tea bag out of my mug at work showed the screwdriver is not as useful for this as [a] the Fish scaler b] hook or c] the coke spoon on the Minichamp. You live and learn.

Nothing wrong with a bit of experimenting I say.  :D  I suspect what you really need in your life is the pharmaceutical spatula.

Oh, and it just so happens I've been carrying my Golfer today.

... oor you can use the can opener as a hook if the bag is not too deep... or just use the main blade if it is...  :D

True. But it's the other tools that are fun to use for tea bag trawling

Bit of a bump for the 84mm love.

I love my traditional knives.  I love my 4+ layer SAKs.  But my first love is always going to be the 84mm. :dd:  With that in mind I've got my Sportsman today but am also thinking about the Pocket Pal for sometime soon.

Big fan of the nylon Sportsman here. I lost my first one (keep hoping it'll turn up) and just bought another couple of nice used ones. Gotta have a spare!

I normally fish tea bags out with my fingers. Quicker than fishing in my pocket for my knife. :P

I recently picked up this Baby Climber and Salesman as parts fodder. But when they arrived, they were far too charming to dismantle.  Square Phillips, 5-turn corkscrew, and nickel-silver shields & crosses?   Yes please.   Hello, new keeper SAKs.

And that squared Phillips has the can key slotted head! Very nice. The 5 turn corkscrew is nice also, and a small clip point blade!  :like: :tu:
