I'm really digging these 84mm's, never handled one in person though.
I used to be the guy who thought the point of an SAK was to have more, but the Compact really changed my view of things, and I really love the feel of it in pocket and in hand.
I just don't care for the combo tool, so now I think I have to get myself a Tinker small.

I like the compact and its concept, really do, but that darn combo tool....
Why the heck couldn't they just put the standard bottle opener in there instead of it...
I still say, my dream sak would be a cross between the old voyager and the small tinker: Std bottle opener and main blade, scissors, and the Phillips and awl on the back.

I agree about the Compact, its almost the perfect pattern and I appreciate the concept, but the combo tool and lack of an awl don't do it for me.

Tinker small - a very nice and unobtrusive SAK.

A small experiment trying to take a tea bag out of my mug at work showed the screwdriver is not as useful for this as [a] the Fish scaler b] hook or c] the coke spoon on the Minichamp. You live and learn. :facepalm:

Bit of a bump for the 84mm love. 

I love my traditional knives.  I love my 4+ layer SAKs.  But my first love is always going to be the 84mm. :dd:  With that in mind I've got my Sportsman today but am also thinking about the Pocket Pal for sometime soon.

I normally fish tea bags out with my fingers. Quicker than fishing in my pocket for my knife. :P

I recently picked up this Baby Climber and Salesman as parts fodder. But when they arrived, they were far too charming to dismantle.  Square Phillips, 5-turn corkscrew, and nickel-silver shields & crosses?   Yes please.   Hello, new keeper SAKs.
