Quest For A Grappler
on: December 21, 2010, 06:28:16 PM
I have three styles of Vice-Grip MTs and a crunch so when the Grappler came i knew it was a must have tool. This year for my birthday my family gave me 75.00 in gift cards from Bass Proshops. So yesterday i went there to buy a Grappler i handled the one they had on display the head did not lock right but i figured that was from being handled in the store so many times. So i asked for one to buy they told me the display was the only one they had left.  :( Even if the display worked good for 70.00 i wanted a new tool. I asked if they were getting any more she checked and said they had one more coming but she did not know when and to keeping checking with them and they get shipments once a week. How is that for service i mean bad service. So i guess i will have to wait. I am going to check on there online store but i don't want to pay shipping 70.00 is as much as i want to pay for a Grappler.

I think Alcohol, Tabacco and Firearms should be a convenience store, not a government agency.

Alot of these storefronts are pretty arrogant when it comes to how they move their product.  The smaller stores will often buy one of each item and the display is "what you get".  And often, yes, it's been handled and worn down considerably, and I will then ask if they have one new in the box and they tell me "what's on display is all we carry".  So I proceed to say well then I think it should be marked down some in its condition yet they never budge, not one centimeter

$70 is too much to pay for a Grappler. (IMO) :-\
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

That is too much. Most places top out at 66. I would look for one online at amazon.com. Shipping is free. Or one of the sponsors here will have. Rocky National

+1 sawman  70.00 is a little high for Grappler but keep in mind I have 75.00 in gift cards to spend at Brass Pro Shops.
