Wow! What a fantastic blade. I've seen numerous fixed blades, and this one tops in the looks of it. Would you consider doing a similar one for me? :)

Or you can wrap it with sellotape and keep it open.  :D
I would consider it if the handle was damaged, but it sort of defeats the point to buy a friction folder and turn it into a fixed blade.

Seved, what do you use to grind/shape the blade (after removing the extra stock)? A bench grinder? Sandpaper? A File?  ???

I use a beltgrinder designed for blade making, a guy here in Sweden makes them.

Many thanks, thats probably  :-\ way over my budjet, for the time being   ;)  ..You never know, I will have a look. :D. I assume a bench grinder wil produce "curved" grinds, rather than flat.

My plesure :D. Well they cost a few bucks but its worth it. I was lucky to get one much cheaper.  :D
Yes with a benchgrinder you get hollowgrinded bevels.

Many thanks for the pictures and links  :tu:

Sparky, the man in the videos was not using goggles or gloves!  :ahhh

Nice belt sander Seved, I will have to see if I can modify my bench grinder! :D

I have seen similar ovens used in laboratories. Is that a special type? What temperature does it go up to?

Addition: Thanks to your link I now have another forum to look into!  :salute:

Goggles, may be he took them off for the video?  ;)

When using a bench sander/linisher some guys don't wear gloves for safety, your hand could get pulled in by the glove and also you can feel when the steel is getting too hot and need to quench it in water  :salute:

I need a big bench sander/linisher  >:D
