swiss tool black with a modification
on: August 17, 2014, 07:20:52 PM
hi, wanted to show my swiss tool with a mod that I thought of while trying to read the measurement scale, I used white paint to highlight the scale, painted it and before it dried wiped off the excess with a rag, the one on the left is new the one on the right I've carried and used for about 6 months with custom leather sheath. they looked exactly the same until I used the paint.

Looks nice, Tom.  I have seen guys do something similar with Glocks.

Welcome to MTO!

Nice, what kind of paint did you use?
The handmade sheath looks good too. I like the fact they made a layer for the button so it won't rub the knife.
Who made that?

I think it's a very handsome looking sheath too. Love to know who made it.

thank you  for you replies. It was just what we call gloss paint in the UK suitable for wood or metal oil based Id been using it to paint a gate and got some on my swisstool when opening the can and that was the eureka moment. the sheath I made, here are some more.
