1. Switzerland - OHT, Swisstool, Spirit (old models 1890, 1908, 1951, 1961)
2. Germany - OHT (old 108mm GAK)
3. The Netherlands - Dual Pro X, Swisstool, Spirit (old alox DAK and Centurion)
4. Australia - Swisstool
5. Danmark - Adventurer red
6. Luxembourg - Forester black with print
7. Norway - Swisstool
8. France - Swisstool
9. Ireland - OHT black with print
10. Brunei - Centurion
11. Singapore - OHT, Bantam both black standard scales
12. Malaysia - Outrider camo with Philips and print

And in the past:

Cyprus - Nomad
Nigeria - Champion (red and blue versions with pruner blade)
South Africa - alox soldier/pioneer (nato stock number on scale)

Are the Swisstool /Spirit a general issue, or only to speSmurfpillst staff EOD's etc?

Cheers :multi:

IIRC they made some of the older German GAK. Germany has more than one supplier, almost the same knife was made by Victorinox, Wenger, Klaas, Miltec and others.

Really? A Wenger produced GAK? I've never seen mention of that anywhere else

I got one of the Mil-Tec GAKs from Tony and I have to admit it's a better knife than I thought it might be, not a Vic by any stretch of the imagination but not bad at all. :)

Yes it is, so regardless of whatever reason I got to buy them right? :)

Many years ago, I have a small classic chain to a little maglite solitaire with keys and I did not care much about the classic. It was beat up but useful. I could use the scissor, the knife, toothpick and even trip my nail during when I'm outside.

During a return trip from Thailand, I forgot to put my keys in the luggage and the classic was confiscated by the airport security. Sad but not too much since it's an old and inexpensive knife. Soon without the classic, I  am starting to miss it and it's usefulness. The maglite seems to be less important and took up space as part of the keychain so I have it removed too.

I was in the Army for 2.5yr full time (compulsory for every Singaporean Man) and 10yrs annual 2 weeks reservist as a Military Police so jungle/knife is in bond with me. We were issued with a cheap jack knife during my time but it was upgraded to SAK many years back that's why we could buy them cheap and Victorinox supply it as a Military contract. Because every man is liable for Military Service, the supply e-mart is open to public.

I remembered I bought 1 Red Batam few years back in the e-mart, I couldn't find it anymore. I cannot remember where I place it. It is still in box, unused and most likely still in my SBO inside my fullpack in the old house.

Last year I purchase a Huntsman, it is always in my laptop carrying case. I will get a Alox classic soon, maybe a Alox Former and a silver maglite solitaire as it's companion. My current black beat up maglite is at least 15 years old maybe even 20 years and still working very well.

speziellen Preis selber kaufen muss.

1. Switzerland - OHT, Swisstool, Spirit (old models 1890, 1908, 1951, 1961)
2. Germany - OHT (old 108mm GAK)

9. Ireland - OHT black with Tampoprint cap badge

Maybe Ireland should be on the "in the past" list as it doesn't issue any knife currently?

Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!
